Which Range Rovers
Most of the Range Rovers in our bays are 2017–2023 L405s, with a steady run of 2010–2012 L322 Supercharged cars and the newest L460s. Autobiography, HSE, Supercharged and the plug-in hybrid all come through.
What a Range Rover needs, in the order we see it
Interval service. Oil and filter, engine and cabin filters, brake fluid and the mileage services. Every visit includes a check of pads, tires and leaks, with measurements, so you know what is coming. Oil change and scheduled service
Brakes. Pads, rotors and wear sensors. Range Rover rotors are large and wear with the pads; we measure both before quoting. Land Rover and Range Rover brakes
Electrical and batteries. A weak battery on a Range Rover produces faults across many modules. We load-test the battery before chasing anything else, and we register new batteries to the car.
Engine faults and check engine lights. On 2013-and-later cars the most common cause we find is the PCV valve built into the passenger-side valve cover, which produces lean codes, rough running or smoke. We confirm the cause with the Autologic platform (now Opus IVS) before replacing anything. Computer diagnostics
Coolant leaks. Expansion tank hoses, coolant flanges, auxiliary radiators, water pumps and the supercharger coolant pipes on supercharged engines. We pressure test to find the leak, repair it, refill, bleed and pressure test again. Cooling system repair
Air suspension. A fault message, a car that drops overnight or goes into extended mode. The usual causes are leaking front air struts (code C1130-66 is the one we see most), a worn compressor, or a valve block that will not hold pressure. We replace what has failed and calibrate the system. Suspension services
Oil leaks. Valve covers, timing cover gaskets and the brake vacuum pump. We clean, confirm and fix the actual source.
Transmission faults. Shift faults and transmission warnings on the ZF 8-speed are usually solved with a valve body, fluid and pan, programmed to the car. Transmission repair
Repairs from our records
Extended mode is a Range Rover's way of saying it has given up on its air suspension. A 2022 car kept dropping into it. Both front air struts were leaking, with fault C1130-66 stored to prove it. Two new struts, a system test, codes cleared, a road test, and the car stayed level.
A 2012 Range Rover Supercharged came in with the message every owner of one eventually sees: suspension fault. The code pointed at the compressor, which at that age had simply worn out. We fitted a new one, calibrated the system so it knew its ride heights again, and drove it. The message did not come back.
A 2016 Range Rover was flagging low coolant. Under pressure, the front lower auxiliary radiator gave itself away. We replaced it, and on the recheck caught the upper radiator hose connector weeping as well. That second part went on at no charge. Refill, bleed, pressure test again: dry.
Lean codes P2187 and P2189 on a 2019 Range Rover. On this engine the first suspect is the PCV valve, which is built into the passenger-side valve cover and cannot be replaced on its own. New valve cover, codes cleared, test drive. The light stayed off.
A 2019 Range Rover threw a transmission fault during our own road test. Rather than guess at the gearbox, we replaced the valve body along with fresh fluid and a new pan, then programmed it to the car. No further faults.
Squeaking brakes on a 2017 Range Rover. The numbers told the story: front pads at 2 mm, rears at 8 mm, front rotors below their limit. New front pads, rotors and wear sensor; the rears were left alone. Road test, no noise.
What Range Rover owners say about us
“Excellent experience with Sherman Oaks Exclusive. I brought in my 2025 Range Rover for its routine service and also had them install a set of motorized running boards. The entire process was smooth from start to finish. They completed the work quickly, the installation came out clean and professional, and the pricing was very reasonable. Everything was handled exactly as promised. These guys know what they’re doing. Highly recommend Sherman Oaks Exclusive. I’ll definitely be bringing my Range Rover back.”

Using an independent shop does not affect your factory warranty.
Questions Range Rover owners ask us
Is it worth repairing an older Range Rover?
Often yes. We keep 2010–2012 Supercharged cars on the road with coolant pipe updates, compressors and valve covers; the cost is a fraction of a newer car. We will tell you honestly when a repair is not worth it.
My Range Rover has a coolant-low message but I see no puddle.
The common leaks on these cars are small and only show under pressure. A pressure test finds them.
Can you do the software side?
We code modules, calibrate air suspension and register batteries here.
Do you offer a shuttle?
Yes. We run a shuttle service; mention it when you book.
